Delivering once-in-a-lifetime Borneo experiences, since 2013

Borneo Holiday Travel Experts

Welcome to Sabah, the “sunset capital of the world.” Ok, nobody calls it that, but it was voted one of the Top 10 Best Places to Watch Sunsets by The Huffington Post. Don’t believe us? Check out the video on the right to see it for yourself. When you’re done watching we’ll be here to take you on a tour to show it to you in real life.

What’s so great about Sabah is that it’s small. That means you’ll see more of our Malaysian highlights in less time. No matter your schedule, we’ll customize an adventure that transports you from one place to the other quicker than taking the Tardis with Dr. Who. You won’t even have time to feel bored in a cramped passenger van before it’s time to see another amazing Borneo highlight.

Our Sabah Travel Packages pack a punch so get ready. So if your perfect day included cuddly baby orangutans, trekking the jungle up Mt Kinabalu and snorkeling down by the shore, we can fit that all into one amazing package. Our experienced local guides know exactly where to take you, keep you safe and entertain you with their expert English anecdotes about Borneo. Nowhere else will you find a Sabah travel package that feels like five lifetime adventures packed into one amazing trip.

You may have noticed that we have a bazillion tours down there, so we hope you believe us when we throw terms like “adventure of a lifetime” around. But…on the off chance that none of the Sabah Tours are up your alley, we can custom tailor one according to your requirements.

“We‘ve just returned from a 13 tour of Sabah in Borneo with Top Peak travel. From the moment we made contact with TPT and Cassie, who tailored ourtrip to meet our needs and desires, we were treated fantastically. They made our trip a wonderful experience and the organisation is there and the communication also. I highly recommend that if you’re planning a trip to Borneo that you consider TPT. Our experience could not have been better. We’re very satisfied and grateful.”

Top Peak Travel are fantastic to go with, very helpful, transparent, good value, well-organised and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The rep Brenda and our driver were extremely helpful and always on hand for anything we needed. The accomodation was beautiful, good food and we are booking another tour to the hot springs with them next. Thank you Top Peak!”

Had only one week on Sabah and wanted to experience as much as possible, so William made a wonderful customised trip for me! Kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, stunning sunsets and the best part… A bamboo hut (low profile) right on the beach! In general; the people with their beautiful history, viewing the orangutan and proboscis monkey in their free habitat, great food and activities made me fall in love with this beautiful part of Malaysia. Thanks again William, for giving me this wonderful experience.”

About Top Peak

Top Peak Travel gives you the best of both worlds, an expat owned agency with a Western understanding, and expert locals that can show you all the hidden gems of Borneo in both Sabah and Sarawak. When our owner, William, left the U.S. for a quick vacation, he didn’t realize his life would never be the same. After extensive travel throughout Asia working as a knowledgeable tour leader, he’s fallen in love with the untapped beauty and culture of Borneo. His frustration with the lack of service and safety for international travelers, and because he honestly couldn’t stop talking about Borneo with anybody who would listen, Top Peak Travel was born. Our team of American and Malaysian staff guarantees you the best mix of western service and local knowledge so that we can send you back home to impress (or annoy) all your friends with your amazing adventure stories.

Like we said at the top, the explosion of wildlife and flora is beyond comprehension. You honestly have to see it to believe it. There are over over 15,000 species of plants alone on the island, not to mention 221 different species of mammals, 420 species of resident birds and 700 types of trees! In comparison, eastern North America only has 171! You can literally throw a dart (or a spear if you want to be all Bornean about it) and you’ll hit something unique you won’t find anywhere else.

Contact us today with any questions. Depending on where you are in the world, we might be asleep. But we guarantee we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. Pinky promise.
