Mount Kinabalu Area Highlight Tour

Explore the nature’s beauty at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kinabalu Park. Take a refreshing short hike at the Botanical Garden in Kinabalu Park to see the amazing flora of Borneo. Then, visit Kundasang Memorial Park to not only be in awe of the beautiful gardens. But, to honor the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the death marches in World War II(WWII). After that, immersed in the scenic view of Desa Cow Farm which is an ideal destination for the whole family.

Nabalu market offers visitors to find a rich variety of local products, such as fruits, vegetables, snacks, and handicrafts. In Nabalu market also offers one of the best views to take the photo of Mount Kinabalu.

Kinabalu Park established as one of the National Park of Malaysia in 1964. It is Malaysia’s first World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO in December 2000. Moreover, the park has more than 5,000 vascular plant species and it identified as the Centre of Plant Diversity for South East Asia. Kinabalu Park located on the West Coast of Sabah, which covers an area of 754 square kilometers surrounding Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Malaysia standing at 4095.2 meters.

Kundasang War Memorial is a memorial park located in Kundasang Town itself. It is to commemorate the British and Australian soldiers who died during the infamous death marches from Sandakan to Ranau during World War II (WWII). The memorial park is made up of four beautiful gardens – the Australian Garden, English Garden, Borneo Garden and the Contemplation Garden & pool. The gardens are to represent the different nationalities.

Desa Cattle Cow Farm is identified as the mini “New Zealand” of Sabah Borneo. It is mainly due to the breathtaking view of green pastures, the Friesian cows roaming freely or grazing around the area, and spectacular view of Mount Kinabalu as the perfect background for photoshoot. Visitors will get to learn the milk processing, have a taste of the fresh milk or other Desa products there. Apart from that, traveling family would love to experience this activity which is bottle feeding the calves in Desa.

Day 1: Kota Kinabalu City – Kundasang – Kota Kinabalu City

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel lobby in the morning. Proceed for an overland transfer to Mount Kinabalu Area for about 2 hours drive. Along the way, stop by at Nabalu Market for some shopping of the local handicrafts and fruits or just to stretch your legs. The, continue on your journey to Kinabalu National Park.  Upon arrival at Kinabalu National Park, make your way to the Botanical Garden for a refreshing short hike while feasting your eyes on the beautiful flora of Borneo. Get your camera ready and capture the beautiful surrounding area. Next, proceed to visit the Kundasang War Memorial Park. Enjoy your lunch at one of the local coffee shops in Kundasang, a quaint small town in the Mount Kinabalu area. 

After lunch, head to Desa Cattle Dairy Farm and enjoy the activities there such as feeding the calves with bottled milk, feeding goats with grass, how milk is processed as well as the milking processes. Transfer back to Kota Kinabalu City and estimate arrival to your hotel at around 5 pm.
