Mari Mari Cultural Village
Take a step away from the modern civilization of Kota Kinabalu and peek into the traditional heritage of the Borneo indigenous people. Glimpse into the Sabah cultural village to experience some of the traditions and beauty of some Sabah Malaysia ethnic tribes of farmers, hunters, fishermen, cowboys, and head hunters in one Borneo island cultural village.
With three-hour tours at 10am, 2pm or 6pm, Mari Mari showcases various traditional borneo indigenous people homes of Sabah malaysia – the Bajau, Lundayeh, Murut, Rungus and Dusun – all of which are built to represent the heritage of a past time in Borneo. To further your knowledge during on your Borneo travel observe traditional blow-pipe making, tattooing, fire-starting, and an insight into the mystical belief systems of each of these Borneo indigenous people. A short traditional dance recital is also included in the visit. The village is a 45 minute drive north of central Kota Kinabalu with the feel of the Borneo rainforest to complete your cityscape and further enhance your holidays in Borneo.

0900 / 1400 / 1700hrs pick up from hotel and proceed to Inanam for Mari-Mari Cultural Village. Upon arrival, you will be greeted as preparation for you time-travelling into prehistoric Borneo; briefing on the Village Rules is a must before you enter. You will be greeted by the Chief and go through a traditional custom of a Welcome Ceremony. Proceed to the suspension bridge to enter Mari-Mari. Mari-mari Cultural Village is combination of five ethnics such as Dusun, Rungus, Murut, Bajau and Lundayeh. Every ethnic has their own exotic stories, traditions, language native to Borneo island. Your meal will be served inside Mari-Mari itself, afterwards it is time to bid farewell to the villagers and depart into the 21st century, as we transfer you to your respective back to hotel.
